Volunteer your time
We’re always on the hunt for Volunteers, especially Drivers and Befrienders, however, if you think you’d be better placed helping us with general duties such as manning reception, or helping to prepare our Food Bank – we’d also love to hear from you.
Volunteering would be perfect for you if you’re:
- retired
- a student
- a carer
- getting back into work after a career break
- or simply have some spare time on your hands
We welcome everyone, no matter your age, gender, culture or creed.
Don’t have time to give? Why not make a donation instead?
Why volunteer?
All our volunteers get something different from their volunteering experience with us, including the opportunity to:
- make a positive difference to people's lives
- improve self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing
- gain invaluable work experience
- use existing skills and knowledge to benefit the local community
- meet new people from a range of backgrounds
- feel valued and make new friends
Volunteering with Eastwood Volunteer Bureau & Food Bank will enable you to enhance your skills, whilst providing valuable work experience.Â
Please note: All volunteers require a simple DBS check, which we’ll pay for.
Not sure whether volunteering is for you? Please get in touch – we’re always happy to have a quick chat and answer any questions you might have.

Rather donate money?
We welcome and value money donations as much as people’s time. If you’d like to help us out financially, we’ll allocate your money to our services most in need.
